Students

Welcome to the Student Ministry section of the website. Our goal as a ministry is to create opportunities for authentic relationships to happen: Relationships between the youth and Jesus Christ, each other, their families at home, and their extended church family. This all happens in a variety of ways which you can read about by clicking below. Let us know if you have any questions about how Westbrook Church Student Ministries helps youth discover and develop a relationship with Jesus Christ and then be deployed to love and serve God and others.

» Middle School: 6th through 8th Graders

Our Middle School Ministry for 6th through 8th graders seeks to draw students into an intimate and authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. It is an intentional ministry designed to meet the specific needs of these preteens and young teens. It is a place:

  • For students to belong, to discover God’s Word, and to connect their lives to God’s Word, His church, and family.
  • To equip students to make good choices based on biblical truth. Students face many challenges in today’s world, including pressure from peers, school, and the media. God’s Word guides us through these challenges.
  • Where we strive to equip parents to become strong spiritual mentors to their Middle School children.

All students who participate in Westbrook student ministry activities must complete and turn in a Student Ministries Registration Form once per ministry year.

ATTENTION PARENTS:

Monthly Parent Meetings – On the 2nd Sunday of the month, there will be a 15 minute parent meeting in the West Room. The purpose will be to make sure everyone is up to date on all the happenings of WSM and give you all the opportunity to ask questions.
The Parent Lab - Raising teenagers is a lot like working in a laboratory. We experience trials and success, random explosions and even incredible breakthroughs all in the name of parenting. Directly following the Parent’s Meeting, there will be an opportunity for parents to come together and dialogue about the situations in which God has placed us. Whether it is teen culture, the use of technology, relationships or disciplemaking, it is important to know that you are not alone. You are not alone!!!

» High School: 9th through 12th Graders

Senior High is for high school students in grades 9 through 12. Our mission is to assist students and leaders in developing as fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ by encouraging, empowering, and equipping them to love God and to love one another.

Senior High at Westbrook Church is a place where teens can explore the nature of reality and relationships with God's Word as the map. Teens have the opportunity to think critically about their relationship with God, family, friends, and self while learning to walk with Jesus toward Christ-likeness. Throughout the year, we will model the three “D’s” of the church, which are Discover, Develop, and Deploy.

Leaders and mentors are here to walk with teens through the beautiful and sometimes rocky terrain of high school, seeking to creatively live, teach, and discuss the Word of God in a way teens can apply it to their lives now and into the future. Please contact us if you have any questions.

All students who participate in Westbrook student ministry activities must complete and turn in a Student Ministries Registration Form once per ministry year.
