The Bible is God's perfect manual for living.
God is actively involved in our lives.
The one God, creator of the world, loves us.
God came to earth to live among us in the person of Jesus.
The Holy Spirit is God living in us.
All people have a need for the life that only God can give.
Because of the death and resurrection of Christ we can have the hope of heaven.
We celebrate our faith when we practice baptism and communion.
The church was designed by God so we can know Him, make Him known to others, and serve each other like Jesus.
Jesus is coming again!
Growing daily in our love and generosity towards God and others.
Living worshipful lives together in both large and small groups
Welcoming the Lake Country community into our church and lives by being authentic representative of Jesus Christ.
Equipping and Empowering our congregation to serve both locally and globally.
Providing support and sanctuary for families in a broken world.
God has blessed me with my wife Kara with whom I have been married to since 1992. We have two energetic kids Caleb and Chloe who love life and bless mom and dad daily. I have been privileged to serve in three different churches (two in CA and one in CO) prior to coming to Westbrook. I have a desire to see people flourish in their love for God and others. I also have a strong desire to see the body of Christ come together for Kingdom purposes. In my free time I enjoy camping, backpacking, riding off-road motorcycles, hiking, good coffee, watching movies and BBQing (even in really cold weather). Excited to serve you!
Hi, My name is Roger. It is my privilege to serve as the Development Pastor at Westbrook. Life is an adventure, especially when Jesus is Lord. God has blessed my wife Susan and I with two beautiful daughters. Music is the tie that binds our home and family. Stop by and you may hear a daughter playing drums, clarinet, or the piano.
I enjoy road and mountain biking, and canoeing the Whitewater Rivers of Wisconsin. Camping is one of our favorite family activities. My desire is to see people come to know Jesus Christ and to live passionately for Him. My hope is that Westbrook Church would be the place you and your family join in that Adventure.
I have been married to Muffy for over 40 years. We have three daughters and five grandchildren. The first 35 years of my professional life were spent as a school teacher, coach and Athletic Director (the final 26 years at Kettle Moraine). As a pastor, my duties include community care, sports camps and men's ministry. I love to teach (and often do), as well as leading Men's Small Groups. In my leisure time, I love to read and/or workout. I have been a part of Westbrook Church since its inception.
My name is Amy Thompson, and I am privileged to have worked with Global Outreach since Westbrook's earliest days. My husband Craig and I came to the church as newlyweds in 1983. We served as missionaries with the Navigators for the three years of our engagement; Craig traveling in Eastern Europe while I was teaching at a school for missionary kids in Kenya. We now live in Stone Bank and have four great kids. We have flourished as a family in Westbrook's atmosphere of grace and growth.
My passion is to help each person at Westbrook be part of encouraging and equipping missionaries for their various ministries, to become one of many hands, heads, and hearts committed to practically loving and faithfully praying for those we have "sent" to work in other parts of the Lord's Kingdom, and to being available as "extended family" to help our International Workers with whatever challenges life or ministry brings. A few favorite smaller passions, besides people and creation: good coffee, good books, good music, good drama, good art...and horseback riding!
Susan Johnson is currently the Worship Director at Westbrook Church. She received her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Pedagogy with a minor in Voice from Lawrence University. She has sung with artists such as Fernando Ortega, Margaret Becker, Stuart Townend, and Keith and Kristyn Getty. She has served as a worship director at several different churches throughout the greater Milwaukee area over the past 25 years, and has led worship for various conferences and retreats across the country.
Susan’s passion is to enthusiastically use her gifts as pianist, vocalist, worship director, and her desire to follow Jesus Christ to lead people from varying walks and circumstances of life into God's presence, pointing to who He is, and remembering both the joy and challenge of worship being a way of life. She enjoys having the freedom to lead worship through a variety of different musical styles for young and old alike, and she feels blessed to have the privilege to do so on a regular basis. Susan is committed to creatively enabling people to see the reality of who God is and His relevance in their lives that perpetuates authentic devotion to Him. She currently lives in Waukesha, WI with her husband Roger, and two daughters Rachel and Hannah.
My wife Megan and I were married in 2003 and have four rambunctious kids (Cole, Maurah & Hayden & Laina). We love to wrestle, color and obsess over Phineas and Ferb (greatest TV show ever, seriously). I was previously on staff at a church in NW Indiana for nearly 4 years. Megan and I grew up in West Michigan and after moving to Wisconsin in April 2011, have lived in every state that touches Lake Michigan. We live in Delafield, WI and frequently will be seen hitting the local parks. I believe that students are engaged in one of the most spiritually seeking generations that America has ever seen. And when students grasp who God made them to be, they can be a part of God’s disciplemaking vision for the world.
I am Laura's husband. Also known as Greg. I have three daughters who all love to be tackled and tickled. We all live in Milwaukee's Sherman Park neighborhood. We've been involved at Westbrook since 2007 when I started helping with youth ministries. Now I'm Director of Community Relations. That means I help us at Westbrook Church build relationships and identify ways to help institutions and individuals in our community flourish. How can we as a church be faithfully present in our context? That's the question I think a lot about. Other than that, I like to watch movies and have picnics with my family -- usually at the same time.
Other things about me: I have an undergraduate degree from UW Milwaukee in English with a focus in language and linguistics. I earned my Master of Arts from Trinity Graduate School in Deerfield, IL. Most of my 20s were spent creating music for youth, families and schools, and I was able to perform and speak to roughly 500,000 people in the last five years. I've been able to meet a lot of people in a lot of places, and at the top of my list of favorites is the Westbrook Church community.
I married my wife Sue in September of 1982 and have three children: Stacey, Jake & Ali. We have been at Westbrook since we moved into the area over 10 years ago. Sue & I are currently serving together in the Welcome Center as well as in the high school ministry by hosting a discipleship group in our home. We also serve together on the advisory board of Hope Street Ministry in Milwaukee. I began my career as a CPA and for the past 25 years have served the community in the role of financial advisor. I currently work in Delafield with Wells Fargo Advisors. In my leisure time I enjoy reading, cooking, exercising, working in the woods and spending time with people interested in exploring the spiritual dimension of life.
Dawn and I first came to Westbrook Church in 1997 and were immediately impacted by the community of believers that God brought into our lives at that time. As we continued to grow in our faith, God developed in each of us a keen awareness of our spiritual gifting. Dawn has a deep love for little children and has faithfully served in the Nursery and Children’s Ministry since we arrived. I have had the opportunity to serve on the Council of Elders for one term and currently am involved in a Bible Study with a small group of our High School boys. Together Dawn and I host a Life Group at our home and most recently have felt a calling to the Prayer Ministry. We continue to seek the Lord’s leading in how to develop that ministry at Westbrook. We have been married for nearly 30 years and have two grown daughters, Cortney and Whitney. I have a BSEE degree from Milwaukee School of Engineering and currently work for a computer chip-maker, Freescale Semiconductor, where I am an Engineering Manager. I enjoy sports of all kinds as well as woodworking and travel.
In 1998, my wife Sue and I were surprised by God when we thought we found a church that would be good for our children but discovered that Westbrook Church was the perfect church for our entire family. Westbrook Church helped us discover an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. Through our involvement in men’s, women’s and couples’ studies, we have developed our knowledge and understanding of God. We enjoy being part of a Life Group that helps us connect by building relationships, grow in our understanding of the Bible, care for each other through prayer and serve the needs of the larger church and our local community. Sue and I have two adult children, Mary and Nick. I am a Sales Director for a technology company. I enjoy golf, travel and all that Lake Country has to offer. Westbrook Church has been a blessing to our family and I am looking forward to see how God will continue to use Westbrook to bless this community.
I was raised in Madison, WI and obtained my BA degree in Management & Economics from Duke University & a JD degree from the University of Tulsa. I married my high school sweetheart, Nadia, and have been married for over 30 years. We’re the proud parents of 3 children: Kara (married to Andy Sarbacker), Alex and Mackenzie. We are also the proud grandparents of Noah, Matthew, & Eden. I manage the Wealth Management Business at U.S. Bank in Milwaukee. I have served as an Elder & Deacon while worshiping at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Madison. Nadia & I have been active members at Westbrook for 10 years and we both have been active in teaching Sunday school and the new member class. I have also been active as a leader for Bible Study Fellowship International (BSF) for men’s classes in Milwaukee, Chicago, St. Louis & Springfield. I am also a volunteer & on the board of the American Cancer Society & the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Nadia is an R.N. & has been active in Women’s Ministry and currently works on event planning. She has been a leader in the Milwaukee Women’s BSF class for over 10 years. We both have had the privilege to lead a dynamic Life Group at Westbrook.
I’ve been married to my wonderful wife Sue for over 30 years. God has blessed us with two great children - our son Rick and our daughter Sarah. We have attended Westbrook for nearly 20 years and this is my second term on the Council of Elders. God’s gifting in my life, my sweet spot, is leading people to discover the truths in God’s Word. I have taught adult Bible class for many years. I also am a good listener, which is why I suppose God gave me big ears, and love to serve by meeting with people one-on-one who need spiritual help and direction. In light of this, I am currently working on getting a Masters of Arts in Christian Studies to become a chaplain or serve in church ministry, wherever God leads. Besides being a full time graduate student, I work part time at Marty’s pizza, serve as a volunteer chaplain, and serve as a condo director. I like to hike and enjoy God’s creation. Whenever I go anywhere in the state, I am looking to discover a new place to explore. I only wish Wisconsin had some mountains, so my second favorite state is Colorado. My favorite indoor recreation is playing cribbage.

As Westbrook has trusted Jesus Christ these past 25 years to "build His church," we continue to serve the same Lord and the same mission: To Know Him and To Make Him Known. God keeps giving us more opportunities to reach up, reach in, and reach out. It is God’s hand of faithfulness, provision, wisdom, perfect timing, amazing grace and goodness, and transforming power in individual lives which has written and will continue to write Westbrook’s story.
At Westbrook, we define water baptism as a picture or outward demonstration of the work God is doing in the lives of those who have committed themselves to be fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Watch the bulletin for upcoming class opportunities.

On the first Sunday of each month, we practice communion as a special reminder of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The bread and juice are offered to all followers of Jesus Christ as a symbol of the body and blood of Christ. Participants are encouraged to prepare their hearts for this time of remembrance and celebration of what Christ has done for us.
